Storage of high pressure seals

High pressure seals and supports are often stored as spare parts for a longer period of time. The physical properties of most rubber materials change during storage and eventually can not be reused, such as hard, soft, cracked and cracked or other forms of surface aging. These changes are a result of a particular factor or combination of factors such as deformation, oxygen, ozone, light, heat, humidity or oil and solvent. If some simple measures are taken, the shelf life of these products can be greatly extended. Recommended life values for elastomers of different material grades in the standard. In order to maintain the best physical and chemical properties of the components, the following rules apply:

Heat

The ideal storage temperature is between + 5 ° C and + 25 ° C. Avoid direct contact with heat sources such as boilers, radiators, and direct sunlight. If the temperature is lower than + 5 ° C, the seal may be stiff. Care should be taken during handling. The temperature of the seal should be raised to approximately 25 ° C before use.
